Goa: Budget session cut short to four days over CM Manohar Parrikar’s ill health
The Budget session of the Goa Assembly has been shortened to four days on account of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar's ill health.

The speaker Pramod Sawant said that the budget will be presented on February 22. The Budget session was scheduled from today, and was supposed to conclude on March 22.
Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party minister Sudin Dhavalikar has been tasked with taking on the chief minister's responsibilities in the House. Meanwhile, the Congress said it had no objection if the session is shortened.
Parrikar was on Thursday rushed to Mumbai's Lilavati hospital after he complained of stomach ache. It was then thought to be a case of food poisoning. After the check-up on Wednesday, he was taken to Mumbai in a flight for further examination.
