Ghaziabad Juice Shop Serves Urine-Laced Drinks To Customers, Workers Thrashed

A video from Ghaziabad has gone viral, showing two shop workers being brutally beaten by locals. The altercation occurred after the workers were accused of mixing urine into fruit juices served to customers.

The incident has triggered outrage and widespread disgust, with many expressing their shock on social media.

The video, shared on the platform X, was captioned: "UP: In Ghaziabad, urine was being mixed in juice and given to customers. Police arrested the shop workers (sic). About one litre of urine was recovered from the shop. The public beat up both the accused."

The footage captures scenes typical of fruit juice shops found across Delhi-NCR, with locals taking matters into their own hands, confronting and attacking the accused workers.

Towards the end of the video, one individual is seen stepping in to stop another from continuing the assault, while someone else records the entire ordeal on their mobile phone.

According to a report from the Free Press Journal, a plastic container filled with urine was discovered inside the juice shop, confirming the locals' suspicions. The workers allegedly admitted to mixing the bodily waste with the juices and, as per the claims, even apologised for their actions.

The police arrived at the scene shortly after the chaos ensued and arrested the two men. Authorities have since launched an investigation into the shocking allegations. The news has fueled widespread outrage, with many appalled at the thought of such a heinous act being carried out at a place where customers seek refreshment.

Incidents of food and beverage contamination have shocked the public before.

In a separate and equally revolting event last year, a man in the US found himself sipping what he thought was a milkshake, only to discover that it was actually a cup of urine.

The man, who had ordered food and drinks online, told a news outlet: "When I started eating my meal upon delivery, I put a straw in my cup that was delivered and took a sip. I soon discovered that the cup delivered to me from the Grubhub driver was a warm cup of urine."

Reports revealed that the delivery guy had relieved himself in the cup during the trip and mistakenly handed it to the customer instead of the milkshake.
