Nitin Gadkari Conducts Aerial Inspection of High-Speed Indore-Hyderabad Corridor Progress
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently conducted an aerial survey of a 33-km segment of the high-speed corridor connecting Indore in Madhya Pradesh to Hyderabad in Telangana. This inspection was part of his review of highway projects in western Madhya Pradesh, according to officials.

The section inspected by Gadkari stretches from Tejaji Nagar in Indore to Balwada in Khargone district. It is a component of the Indore-Hyderabad corridor, which is being developed under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. This Central government initiative aims to enhance the country's highway infrastructure.
Progress and Future Plans
The 33-km stretch includes plans for three tunnels in challenging hilly terrain. Officials expect this section to be completed by December. Once finished, it will facilitate smoother traffic flow from Madhya Pradesh to Telangana via Maharashtra.
During his visit, Gadkari also assessed highway construction work in the Indore division of western Madhya Pradesh. A meeting with National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials was held to discuss these developments.
Additional Developments
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav attended the meeting, where a presentation was made on proposed beautification efforts for a new bridge over the Narmada River along the Indore-Omkareshwar road.
This inspection and review highlight ongoing efforts to improve connectivity and infrastructure across key regions. The projects are expected to significantly enhance travel efficiency and regional development once completed.
