The meeting which would involve brainstorming will see Prime Minister Narendra Modi address the meeting on the third day. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh too will take part in the event.

The last conference was held win Kevaria, Gujarat in 2021. This time the conference was scheduled to take part in Karwar, Karnataka in March, but the venue was shifted to Bhopal.

The central theme of the conference would be the future of warfare. However issues such as improving the Agnipath-Agniveer scheme would also come up for discussion.

Another topic that would come up for discussion is the use and impact of the social media as part of the information warfare against an adversary. These days advanced adversaries use the social media to spread disinformation against the enemy along with using this technology to spread radicalisation, disaffection and chaos.

Information warfare has been a key tool of the Chinese army. Along with cyber-attacks, it has also been part of the hybrid warfare which is being practiced over the past decade.

The Pakistani military is well-versed with such attacks and has been successful in creating confusion through sympathisers within the opposition camp. The Pakistan military has used the social media extensively to spread a false narrative. IT has a set of people who lap up such information and spread disaffection across India. The Pakistan military has in fact a set of agents in India, specifically to spread misinformation against actions by India. Be it the farmer protests or the agitation against the CAA, the Pakistan deep-state has played a vital role in it to ensure that India remains on the boil.

Further more the Combined Commanders Conference will also discuss the situation along the borders and take stock of the situation in the Indo-Pacific. India has to protect nearly 7,500 kilometres of the coastline apart from the island territories.
