Fuel Consumption Demand up by 6.2% in June
New Delhi, July 12: India's fuel demand has gone up to 6.2% in June, as compared to the same month last year.
Data from the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) of the oil ministry showed that consumption of fuel, which is a proxy for oil demand totalled 15.65 million tonnes. Sales of gasoline, or petrol were 4.4% higher than last year with 1.85 million tonnes sale.

LPG sales increased to 1.61 million tonnes , while naptha sales surged 1.19 million tonnes.
While Bitumen sale was up by 10.0%, fuel oil increased to 17.3% in June.
