Friends Murder Driver Sawud Ansari for Refusing to Dismantle Truck for Parts

The police in Ramgarh district, Jharkhand, have resolved the murder case of a 24-year-old man. The man was allegedly killed by three friends after he refused to dismantle a mini truck he drove. The plan was to sell the truck's parts for money on the night of Muharram, July 6, according to Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar.

Friends Kill Driver Over Truck Dismantling Dispute

Identified as Sawud Ansari, the victim hailed from Durgi basti in Barkakana. His father filed an FIR after Sawud went missing during the Muharram festival. The police found his body in a closed brick kiln on July 13. At a press conference, the SP revealed that Sawud's friends stabbed him following a disagreement over dismantling the truck.

Investigation and Arrests

During the investigation, police arrested Ashfaq Ansari on July 13. His interrogation led to the arrest of two others, Aftab Ansari and Abad Ansari, on Wednesday. On July 6, they had asked Sawud to dismantle the truck and falsely report it stolen to his owner. Sawud refused their plan.

Aftab and Abad then stabbed Sawud to death, while Ashfaq assisted them in disposing of the body at the brick kiln. The police also recovered the knife used in the murder. The arrests were made based on evidence gathered during the investigation.

Details of the Crime

The motive behind the crime was financial gain from selling truck parts. The suspects planned this during Muharram when they believed fewer people would notice their actions. However, Sawud's refusal led to a fatal altercation with his friends.

The police have pieced together these details through thorough investigation and interrogation of those involved. This case highlights how financial desperation can lead individuals to commit heinous acts against friends.

The resolution of this case brings some closure to Sawud's family and underscores the importance of diligent police work in solving crimes. The community remains shocked by this betrayal among friends over monetary gain.
