Former NCP MLA Malojirao Mogal passes away

Nashik, July 9: Former NCP MLA and Nashik district's Niphad Cooperative Sugar Factory chairman Malojirao Sadashivrao Mogal passed away after a prolonged illness, family sources said today.

The 88-year-old leader, popularly known as 'Kaka', died at a private hospital here last night, they said. Mogal was MLA for three terms from Niphad Assembly constituency and had last got elected from there on the NCP ticket.

He also held senior positions in Nashik District Central Co-operative Bank (NDCC) and a leading educational institution here, apart from being associated with few other organisations.

Mogal is survived by wife, three sons and four daughters. His body was taken to Niphad this morning where the funeral will take place later today, sources added.
