Foreign Tourists Accuse Goa Nightclub Of Discrimination Against Indians, Video Sparks Online Debate
A viral video shared by two men from Scotland has sparked a heated debate online after they accused a nightclub in Goa of racially discriminating against Indian locals.
Posting on Instagram, Robin Alderslowe and Ryan Williams uploaded a video showing clips of foreigners being granted entry into the club, while Indian locals were left waiting outside in a queue.

"Racist Nightclub in Goa," wrote Alderslowe, a Scottish bagpiper and filmmaker, in his post. He also tagged his friend Ryan Williams, whose Instagram bio states that he has a Scottish-Korean background.
The footage shows the pair walking straight into the nightclub, skipping past a queue of Indian locals waiting for entry.
Williams notes that they were allowed in free of charge simply because they were foreigners, whereas the locals were required to wait outside.
As the video progresses, Williams includes clips of Indian locals still standing outside the nightclub. He also shows Alderslowe, dressed in traditional Scottish attire, playing the bagpipes inside the venue.
The video, posted a few days ago, quickly gained traction, igniting a wave of reactions. While some social media users condemned the nightclub's alleged discriminatory policies, others attempted to justify the incident with their own interpretations.
"Is there anywhere in the world where people discriminate against their own countrymen? Or is it only India?" questioned one user. "Asians love treating foreigners better than locals," remarked another.
"As a Goan, I can say that we treat foreigners differently purely based on behaviour. Indians feel entitled when they spend a little extra money. They think they can do whatever they want," commented one user.
"It's really sad that this problem isn't just limited to India, but happens in other places too. A few bad apples are giving the many, respectful Indians a bad name," observed another.
Another user wrote, "As an Indian, most Indian men lack civic sense and consent (very few are decent), even when they travel abroad. So, unfortunately, some good ones have to stay out alongside the misbehaving ones."
"Goa used to be much better for foreigners. Some Indian local tourists have no manners - they litter on beaches, even defecate on them, and they frequently engage in crimes, mostly drunk driving," claimed another comment.
