Focus on women as BJP pushes govt insurance schemes
New Delhi, Aug 25: BJP is on course to have at least 11,000 women in every Assembly constituency in the country enrolled by the occasion of Raksha Bandhan for the life insurance schemes launched by the Centre.
Party general secretary Anil Jain said they wanted 5 crore women, especially from poor background, covered under the schemes to push social welfare initiatives across the country.

Jain, who is in the nine-member committee formed by the party to publicise such schemes, said their campaign had been a "big success".
He, however, added that the party was not paying premiums for the beneficiaries and was only helping them enrol for these schemes.
BJP will continue with its campaign till September 30, by when anybody without a fitness certificate can buy them. Raksha Bandhan is to be observed on August 29.
