First year B.Tech student commits suicide in Noida

A first year B.Tech student of Amity University here allegedly committed suicide by jumping from his hostel roof Thursday, police said.

Noida, Nov 25: A first year B.Tech student of Amity University here allegedly committed suicide by jumping from his hostel roof Thursday, police said.

The deceased was identified as Udey Shankar. He was a first year student of B.Tech and was living in the hostel, they said.

He was taken to Kailash Hospital where doctors declared him dead, the police said. Shankar's hostel room was searched but no suicide note was found, the police said adding they are investigating the incident.
