Firm Law and Order Has Made Uttar Pradesh Safer for Investors and Youth: Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath said that firm law and order had turned the state into a safer and more stable place for residents and investors. Speaking at the Provincial Armed Constabulary Raising Day Celebrations-2025 in Lucknow, Yogi Adityanath linked better policing with faster economic growth and rising opportunities for young people.

Yogi Adityanath stated that a secure and stable environment formed the base for good governance and development. According to Yogi Adityanath, peace and safety helped industry grow and supported the hopes of Uttar Pradesh’s youth. Yogi Adityanath stressed that these conditions were necessary for employment generation and for long-term progress in the state.

Yogi Adityanath law and order push and zero-tolerance stance

Reiterating the administration’s stand, Yogi Adityanath said the government followed a zero-tolerance policy towards crime and criminals. Yogi Adityanath added that reforms in recruitment, training, policing methods and modernisation had strengthened the security system. The chief minister said a strong and motivated police force was vital to keep peace and attract new investment to Uttar Pradesh.

Yogi Adityanath explained that tougher internal security and more effective policing had changed Uttar Pradesh’s image at the national level. Better law and order, Yogi Adityanath said, encouraged investors, boosted industrial activity and created new options for employment. "A secure environment strengthens governance, attracts investment, and enables the fulfillment of the aspirations of the state's youth," he said.

Yogi Adityanath highlights PAC role and historic operations

The chief minister praised the 78-year journey of the Provincial Armed Constabulary, noting its wide duties. Yogi Adityanath said the PAC had handled internal security, routine law and order, disaster management, elections and VVIP security. The force also helped ensure peaceful conduct of major festivals, which, Yogi Adityanath said, required steady preparedness and coordination.

Recalling key operations, Yogi Adityanath referred to the December 13, 2001 Parliament attack in New Delhi. Personnel from the PAC’s 30th Battalion played a role in neutralising the terrorists, Yogi Adityanath said. The chief minister also mentioned the July 2005 terror attack at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex in Ayodhya, where a joint team of the CRPF, PAC and Uttar Pradesh Police eliminated all attackers.

Yogi Adityanath and PAC recruitment, women battalions and welfare

Yogi Adityanath listed recent steps to expand the PAC and improve welfare measures for its personnel. Yogi Adityanath said 41,893 constables and 698 platoon commanders had been recruited in the PAC, while recruitment for more posts was in progress. Dependents of personnel who died while in service had been given jobs, Yogi Adityanath added.

Giving details of Uttar Pradesh Police recruitment over the past eight years, Yogi Adityanath said 2.19 lakh personnel had joined the force. A 20 per cent reservation for women was in place, and more than 44,000 women police personnel were serving. Yogi Adityanath said three new women PAC battalions had been created in Lucknow, Gorakhpur and Budaun, and more such units were planned.

The chief minister said 31 Police Modern Schools were operating under the Police Welfare Scheme. Yogi Adityanath added that, for the first time, best performance awards were started in these schools on PAC Foundation Day. The government had also revived 46 PAC companies, which Yogi Adityanath said strengthened law and order and improved Uttar Pradesh’s national image.
