Fire Broke Out At Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Mandir In Madhya Pradesh, 13 Injured

More than 13 people were injured after a fire broke out at Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Mandir In Madhya Pradesh on Monday morning. According to the reports, the fire erupted at Sanctum Sanctrom in Mahakal Madir during the Bhasma Aarti in the early hours. Soon after the incident, the injured were transported to a nearby hospital, where, 2 are in critical condition and the rest are out of danger.

To take account of the situation and provide the necessary help, District Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh reached the hospital and directed officials to take proper care of the victims. Talking to the media, Singh said, "The fire broke out during Bhasma aarti in the 'Garbhagriha'. 13 people are injured in the incident...Their medical treatment is underway.

Shedding light on the incident, priest Ashish Sharma said, "The traditional Holi celebrations were being held in Mahakal Temple. The fire spread in 'garbhagriha' due to 'gulaal'. Priests of the temple got injured. We have rushed them to the hospital."

Notably, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's son Vaibhav Yadav and daughter-in-law Akansha Nandi were also present in temple's hall at the time of the incident.

In a message on X, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said the incident was unfortunate and added he was in constant touch with the district administration. Everything is in control, the CM said.

However, the situation is now under control and the temple has continued Mahakaleshwar's darshan for the devotees.

Another incident of fire was reported this morning from Delhi's Alipur, where a factory was set ablaze. To douse the fire, more than 25 fire tenders reached the spot and rescue workers who were present at the factory at the time of the incident.
