Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Unveils Souvenir Coins On Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Ayodhya and Ram Lalla
During the 19th foundation ceremony of the Security Printing & Minting Corporation of India (SPMCIL), Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman unveiled three commemorative coins featuring the theme of Ram Lalla and the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
The finance minister also introduced a bi-metallic clad souvenir coin commemorating the Enlightenment of Lord Buddha (Limited Edition - showcasing oxidized Matte finish images of Buddha & Stupa) and another coin featuring the Greater one-horned Rhino as part of the Endangered Animals of India series.

FM Sitharaman praised the efforts done by the Security Printing & Minting Corporation of India (SPMCIL) for coming up with commemorative stamps and coins.
Addressing the event, Finance Minister said, "The themes with which off late you are coming up with whether it's commemorative stamps or coins shows that you want to keep abreast of the developments around the world, environment concerns, concerns for divyang and also making it attractive enough to become items worthy of being gifted."
