Key Rule Changes Effective from February 2025:

1. LPG Cylinder Price Hike
Starting February 1, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder will increase by ₹50. While subsidy schemes continue in rural areas, urban consumers will have to bear higher costs.

2. UPI Payment Security Rules
NPCI will mandate biometric OTP authentication for UPI transaction IDs. These new security measures aim to reduce the risk of scams.

3. IMPS Limit Upgrade
The RBI will allow transfers of up to ₹10 lakh per day via IMPS. Instant transfers of up to ₹7 lakh will be possible without mentioning the beneficiary's name.

4. FASTag KYC Update
Failure to update FASTag KYC will result in restricted access to toll plaza services. The process can be easily completed online.

5. NPS Withdrawal Policy Revision
PFRDA has issued a circular increasing the partial withdrawal limit under NPS to 30%, providing better financial support for unforeseen medical expenses.

6. SBI Home Loan Discount
SBI has launched a new home loan scheme for February 2025. Borrowers can avail of loans at an annual interest rate reduction from 8.4% to 8.1%.
