Farmers commit suicide: Odisha government is a murderer, says Pradhan

Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday said that seven farmers have committed suicide in last ten days in Odisha due to the negligence of the local government.

Pradhan further said,''Odisha government is not only corrupt, insensitive & useless but also a murderer.''

Brunda Sahu, a farmer of Kalapani village in Bargarh district, committed suicide on November 1, a day after he had set his pest-affected paddy crops on fire.

Meanwhile, BJP MLA Pradip Purohit said that more than 4,000 farmers have committed suicide during the BJD rule due to their anti-farmers policies.
