Family of four, security guard found dead in Delhi’s Shahdara

A family of four and their security guard were found dead with stab wounds at their home.

Five people, including four women, were found dead at their home in east Delhi's Mansarovar Park on Saturday.

Shahdara Deputy Commissioner of Police Nupur Prasad said the victims were 76-year-old Urmila, her three daughters Sangeeta, Nupur and Anjali, and security guard Rakesh, the Hindustan Times reported.

"Urmila's husband had died a few years ago and she lived with her three daughters," Prasad said. The family rented out properties they owned to seven other families.

The police have formed several teams to identify the suspects, but are yet to make any progress.

Special Police Commissioner said the crime scene indicated friendly entry. "Can't say motive behind murders now. We have few inputs and probe is underway," he said.
