Empowering OBC Community: This Is How Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini Is Making A Difference In Haryana
Nayab Singh Saini, the Chief Minister of Haryana, has been working to uplift various societal sections through numerous schemes. His focus has been on the Other Backward Classes (OBC), a group he belongs to. CM Saini has introduced several government initiatives aimed at benefiting the OBC community.
Nayab SIngh Saini's administration has raised the annual income limit for the creamy layer of the OBC category in government jobs from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh. This increase excludes salary and agricultural income. Additionally, reservations for backward classes in Group-A and Group-B posts have been increased from 15 percent to 27 percent, aligning with central government guidelines. The backlog of jobs for backward classes will also be addressed as a priority.

Focus on Employment and Skill Development
The Haryana Skill Employment Corporation now offers a 27 percent reservation for the OBC category, aiming to provide more job opportunities for young people. At the Sarva Samaj Samrasta Sammelan of OBC Morcha, where CM Saini was the chief guest, he emphasized the government's dedication to safeguarding OBC interests.
The state government has rolled out various schemes to support the OBC community, including scholarships for better education and skill development programs. The central government has also identified backward areas, including those with significant OBC populations, as aspirational districts. These areas benefit from ongoing development schemes.
Financial Support and Training Initiatives
A budget of Rs 13,000 crore has been allocated under the Bhagwan Vishwakarma Yojana for training in 18 trades. This initiative provides financial assistance and kits to trainees, further supporting skill development among the OBC community.
Saini asserts that both central and state governments have provided substantial benefits to the OBC class, surpassing efforts by previous opposition governments. His initiatives have increased support from OBC voters towards the BJP, which could be advantageous in upcoming assembly elections.
Overall, Saini's tenure as Chief Minister has focused on ensuring equal opportunities and benefits for all societal sections, with particular attention to uplifting the OBC category. The government's efforts have received praise and are anticipated to positively impact future elections.
