E-rickshaw Driver's Reckless Driving Kills 21-Year-Old Biker In Prayagraj, Watch Shocking Video

A viral video said to be from Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj has created a buzz on the internet, which shows, a biker losing his balance after crashing into an E-rikshaw that made a sudden U-turn on the bridge amid heavy traffic. According to the reports, 21-year-old Akash Singh, who was riding the motorbike, died at the spot following E-rikshaw driver's carelessness.

The incident reportedly took place at around 12.40 pm today and was recorded in a CCTV camera installed at the bridge.

The reports said Akash Singh worked in a private company and was returning home in the afternoon when the saddening incident happened. The video further shows an E-rickshaw driver running from the spot soon after the accident.

The bypassers immediately stopped to help the grounded biker and swiftly transported him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.

Taking cognizance of the matter, Kydganj police station lodged the complaint against the unidentified E-rikshaw driver and started the hunt to find the accused. Talking to the media, a police official said on the basis of the complaint received from the deceased's father, police has filed the case and launched an investigation.

He added that police is also scanning the CCTV footage to find clues and identify the accused E-rikshaw driver.

Sharing details about the incident, an eyewitness told the media that E-rickshaw driver suddenly surprisingly made a U-turn, which gave no time to the biker to apply breaks and he rammed into the E-rickshaw. "These people don't follow traffic rules most of the time and gang up against others when objected and become violent."

Another commuter said most of the E-rikshaw drivers don't have license and they never obey traffic rules which is dangerous for them as well as for other people on the road.
