Drone footage Shows Mysuru-Darbhanga Express Train Coaches Scattered In Tamil Nadu
At least 19 people were injured when a moving express train collided with a stationary goods train on Friday evening at Kavaraipettai railway station in Tamil Nadu, near Chennai. The impact of the collision caused a fire in two coaches, and at least 13 coaches were derailed.
Stranded passengers of the Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Express were transferred to a special train on Saturday morning to continue their journey, while the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Friday. According to railway officials, the train crew felt a heavy jolt as they entered Kavaraipettai station. Instead of following the main line as signaled, the train veered onto the loop line and collided with the parked goods train.
A parcel van caught fire during the collision, and 13 coaches were derailed. Train services on the affected section have been suspended, and restoration work is in progress. The Railways has cancelled two trains and rerouted more than half a dozen others via alternative tracks.
Chief Minister MK Stalin is overseeing the rescue and relief operations, while Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin visited the injured passengers at Government Stanley Medical College in Chennai. Minister Avadi Nasar and senior officials are leading rescue efforts at the accident site.
The Railways reported that over 95 percent of passengers were safely evacuated from the affected coaches, with no casualties or severe injuries confirmed so far.
A special train carrying the stranded passengers of the Mysuru-Darbhanga Bagmati Express left Chennai Central railway station at 4:45 a.m. on Saturday to continue its journey. Food and water were provided to the passengers during the delay, according to railway officials.
