DMK's Stalin relaxes at Marina beach, picture goes viral as AIADMK faces crisis

On an evening filled with political activity for the AIADMK Amma camp, a picture of DMK's working President M K Stalin relaxing at the Marina beach went viral. As AIADMK leaders were in a huddle discussing the future of the party that is in tatters, a picture of M K Stalin 'chilling' at the Marina beach caught the eyes of netizens.

Some went about captioning the pictures and comparing the mood in DMK is a stark contrast to the environment in the AIADMK. While it is unclear if the picture is from Monday, the same went viral as AIADMK ministers' meet was underway at Tangamani's residence. In the images that went viral Stalin is seen sitting with two other leaders on simple chairs at the beachside. A few Twitters users pointed to how instead of AIADMK leaders, M K Stalin was in the vicinity of Jayalalithaa's memorial on a hectic politicking day.

The countermanding of the R K Nagar bypoll came as a huge loss to DMK as much as to both factions of the AIADMK. The bypoll was being looked at as Stalin's chance at leading the party and proving his capacity as a leader on his own without his father and Party president M Karunanidhi's backing. While the AIADMK continues to be a house on fire, the picture of Stalin relaxing at the beach naturally became a talking point.
