DMK Organises Delimitation Meeting to Address Corruption Allegations Ahead of Elections

The DMK in Tamil Nadu recently held a meeting in Chennai concerning the delimitation of Lok Sabha constituencies. Union Minister G Kishan Reddy claimed this was an attempt to divert public anger over corruption allegations. He questioned if the Central government had discussed delimitation with the Congress, DMK, or BRS. Reddy, also the Telangana BJP president, accused Chief Minister M K Stalin of leading a corrupt and family-run administration.

DMK Delimitation Meeting Addresses Corruption Issues

Allegations Against DMK and Congress

Reddy stated that investigations are ongoing against DMK leaders in a liquor scam. He suggested that the people of Tamil Nadu are dissatisfied with the DMK government as elections approach. According to him, Stalin's meeting aimed to deflect blame onto the BJP by discussing delimitation. Reddy alleged that the gathering was against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and sought to mislead the public.

Reddy emphasised that whether it involves delimitation, mother tongue, or regional language issues, the BJP government aims to treat all regions fairly. He asserted that Modi's administration is dedicated to ensuring justice for everyone without discrimination. "It is the promise of BJP and Modi ji that no province will face injustice in the matter of delimitation," he stated.

Criticism of Political Opponents

The Union Minister criticised both Congress and BRS for allegedly exploiting public resources through corruption. In a post on X, Reddy accused these parties of collaborating in exchanging MLAs and engaging in corrupt practices. He claimed they prioritise dynastic rule and are misleading people about delimitation while hiding behind divisive politics related to language and region.

Reddy reiterated that the BJP does not require validation from leaders like Stalin, Rahul Gandhi, or BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao. He maintained that Modi's government is committed to fairness across all regions and communities. The focus remains on delivering justice without bias, according to Reddy's statements.

The meeting organised by DMK has sparked significant political discourse as parties prepare for upcoming elections. Allegations of corruption and misdirection have heightened tensions between rival political factions in Tamil Nadu. The situation continues to evolve as parties vie for public support amidst these accusations.

The ongoing political dynamics reflect broader issues concerning governance and accountability within Tamil Nadu. As elections near, these discussions are likely to intensify, shaping the political landscape in significant ways.
