Did You Know Bollywood Actor Shah Rukh Khan Owns A Land On The Moon?
Did you know, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan owns a piece of land on the Moon? Yes, you heard it right. It was gifted by a fan to King Khan.
According to the Open Lunar Registry (OLR), a non-commercial and transparent registry of existing, planned and proposed science and exploration activity on the Moon, an Australian fan purchased the piece of land for Khan and gifted him.

However, not once, she has been reportedly purchasing land in his name every year in the region called the Sea of Tranquility, Khan had said in an earlier interview.
"An Australian lady buys a little land on the moon for me every year on my birthday. She has been buying it for a while now and I get these certificates from the Lunar Republic Society. She writes me colourful emails (in the sense one line is red, one is blue and so on). I feel blessed to have the love of so many people worldwide," he told Zee News.
He had also claimed that the fan writes him colourful emails. "I feel blessed to have the love of so many people worldwide," Shah Rukh Khan said.

The fan identified as Sandi had spoken to Glamsham website and said, "Yes, it's true that I bought a block of land on the Moon for King Khan, as I wanted him to be the first Hindi film hero on the Moon! I want him to always be first with everythingâ€æ For his birthday in 2002, I had a star in the Scorpius constellation named after him, (which was also a first for a Hindi hero) and the Moon idea was to follow the ASOKA theme of the Sun, the Moon and the Stars. Maybe for next birthday, I will have organised something to represent the Sun."
However, he is not the only Indian actor to own property on the moon. Bollywood's late actor Sushant Singh Rajput had purchased an acre of land on the moon.
According to an online agency specializing in lunar real estate, the Sea of Tranquility offered parcels of land measuring 1 acre for a price of $37.50 (approximately Rs 1758.75). This lunar hotspot is considered the most desirable location on the moon. Acquiring land on the Moon through this agency grants landowners not only their property but also an elegantly crafted parchment deed, a satellite image showcasing the property, and a comprehensive information sheet detailing the geographic features of the chosen area. For an additional fee, interested parties can also acquire an interactive Full Moon Atlas on CD-ROM, Koimoi reported.
Meanwhile, India is set to script history with Chandrayaan-3 which is scheduled to make soft landing on the lunar surface on Wednesday.
