Did Honeypreet sanction Rs 1.25 crore to fund violence post Ram Rahim conviction?

These charges have however been denied by Honeypreet.

The Haryana police have learnt that it was Honeypreet Insan who masterminded and funded the violence that erupted following the conviction of Gurmeet Ram Rahim.

While Honeypreet who is in police custody has not been cooperative, there are others who are speaking to the police. Five Dera Sacha Sauda supporters were questioned and they spilled the beans on Honeypreet.

The police learnt that there was a meeting at the Dera headquarters on August 17 to plan for the violence on August 25, the day Ram Rahim was convicted. The police learnt that a total sum of Rs 1,25 crore had been sanctioned to fund the violence.

These charges have however been denied by Honeypreet. She claimed innocence and said she had no knowledge of any such plan. The police meanwhile said that they would seek extension of Honeypreet's custody as she is not cooperating with the investigation.
