Delhiites, are you selling, purchasing firecrackers online? Police to take action
The Delhi police is all set to take action against anyone found selling and purchasing firecrackers online.
New Delhi, Oct 12: After the Supreme Court on Monday banned the sale of firecrackers in Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) during Diwali this year to check air pollution level, the Delhi police is all set to take action against anyone found selling and purchasing firecrackers online.
"Action will be taken against those who try to sell and purchase firecrackers online," Delhi Police PRO was quoted as saying by ANI on ban on firecrackers' sale in Delhi-NCR.

The Supreme Court said its order of last November banning the sale of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR will continue till October 31.
A bench headed by Justice AK Sikri said the apex court's September 12 order temporarily lifting the stay and permitting sale of firecrackers would be effective from November 1.
Diwali is on October 19 and the order effectively means that no firecrackers will be available for purchase before the festival.
The top court said it has not changed the September 12 order but its November 11, 2016 order banning the sale of firecrackers "should be given a chance".
The top court, through the 2016 order, had suspended all licences which "permit sale of fireworks, wholesale and retail within the territory of NCR".
On September 12 this year, the apex court had temporarily lifted its earlier order and permitted sale of firecrackers.
The apex court's order came on a plea seeking restoration of the November 2016 order.
Traders and sellers of firecrackers have opposed the order of the apex court as it hurts their business badly during Diwali celebrations.
A group of traders on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court, seeking a modification of the October 9 (Monday) order that banned the sale of firecrackers in Delhi-NCR till November 1.
The traders told the court that their licences were revived in pursuance of the court's September 12 order and they procured firecrackers for sale during Diwali.
A bench, comprising Justices Ranjan Gogoi, AM Sapre and Navin Sinha, assured counsel for the traders that it would consult the judge concerned, who passed the order, for placing their interim application for urgent hearing.
