Delhi Weather Report: Several Parts See Rain, More Showers Expected This Week

Rainfall graced parts of Delhi-NCR on Sunday evening, with the weather department predicting more showers in isolated areas. Some regions in West Delhi, Outer North Delhi, and Gurugram experienced rain. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts light rain in specific parts of Delhi, including Rajouri Garden, Patel Nagar, Buddha Jayanti Park, Rashtrapati Bhavan, Najafgarh, and Delhi Cantonment.

Weather Patterns and Predictions

A Western Disturbance is currently positioned along 70°E to the north of latitude 30°N. This disturbance has induced a cyclonic circulation over north Rajasthan and its vicinity. Due to these systems, light rainfall is expected in Delhi-NCR. "One or two spells of very light to light rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, are likely over Delhi-NCR during the next 12 hours," stated the IMD.

The weather department has also predicted moderate to dense fog on Monday morning. This forecast comes as part of the ongoing weather changes affecting the region. Residents should prepare for reduced visibility during their morning commute.

Temperature Trends and Humidity Levels

Delhi recorded its second-lowest daytime temperature of this winter season on Sunday at 23.7 degrees Celsius. This was slightly below normal compared to Saturday's 25.4 degrees Celsius. The lowest maximum temperature so far was noted on November 18 at 23.5 degrees Celsius.

Humidity levels varied significantly throughout the day, ranging from 97% to 68%. Such fluctuations are typical during this time of year as weather patterns shift between seasons.

Upcoming Weather Expectations

The IMD anticipates that Monday's maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 27 degrees Celsius and 8 degrees Celsius respectively. These temperatures indicate a slight warming trend compared to recent days.
