Delhi Police Conducts Major Raids on Gangster Hideouts Across NCR, Arresting Neeraj Bawana's Father

In a significant operation, Delhi Police raided multiple gangster hideouts across NCR, arresting three individuals including Neeraj Bawana's father. The raids resulted in the recovery of cash, gold, silver, firearms, and other assets.

In a significant crackdown, Delhi Police conducted extensive raids on Thursday morning at criminal hideouts in Delhi and Haryana. The operation led to the arrest of three individuals, including the father of jailed gangster Neeraj Bawana. Additionally, 36 habitual offenders were detained during the raids.

The police seized a substantial amount of cash and valuables during the operation. They recovered Rs 49.6 lakh in cash, 1.36 kilograms of gold, and 14.6 kilograms of silver. Other items included a bulletproof Scorpio SUV, a motorcycle, 27 mobile phones, a laptop, seven pistols, a revolver, 40 live cartridges, and various other weapons.

Joint Operation Targets Gangsters

The raids were part of a joint operation involving 39 teams from the Outer North district and 19 teams from Rohini district. In total, 820 personnel participated in the searches across 58 locations in Delhi and nearby areas like Sonipat, Sampla, Jhajjar, Rohtak, and Bahadurgarh.

Under the leadership of Joint Commissioner Vijay Singh and Deputy Commissioners Hareshwar Swami and Rajeev Ranjan, the operation aimed to dismantle gangs led by notorious criminals such as Kala Jathedi, Jitender alias Gogi, Neeraj Bawana, Rajesh Bawana, Tillu Tajpuriya, Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu, and Nettu Dabodha.

Arrests and Seizures

Among those arrested were Shaktiman (34), Vedpal (55), and Prem Singh Sehrawat (67) from the Outer North district. In Rohini district, Vishal alias Behda alias Ankit, Hari Om alias Ankit, and Naveen were apprehended. Notably, Sehrawat is the father of Neeraj Bawana.

Bawana is currently imprisoned in Tihar jail but continues to run his gang from behind bars. He has been involved in over 30 cases of murder and extortion. The Special Cell arrested him in 2015 when he was one of the most wanted criminals.

Links to International Criminals

Police revealed that Bawana had connections with Fazal Ur Rehman, an associate of gangster Dawood Ibrahim. He also had ties with Canada-based fugitive Arsh Dalla and Hardeep Singh Nijjar, a Khalistani activist killed in Canada in 2023.

FIRs have been filed under the Arms Act at Narela Industrial Area, Bawana, and Kanjhawala police stations. The seized mobile phones and electronic devices are being analysed to uncover links with international gangsters.

A senior police officer stated that this coordinated action is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle gangster networks in Outer North and Rohini districts.
