The Delhi Police registered an FIR over the alleged leak of Ex-Army chief General MM Naravane's unpublished book, according to the PTI. Ex-Army Chief's book 'Four Stars of Destiny' came to the spotlight after a political clash in Parliament. The case involved the book 'Four Stars of Destiny' and its suspected online circulation.

The controversy grew when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi displayed a claimed copy of the book in the Parliament complex. The act triggered noisy protests, disrupted Lok Sabha proceedings and led to the suspension of eight MPs for the rest of the ongoing Budget session.

Political and legal focus on General MM Naravane book leak

Police said information surfaced on several social media platforms and news sites, which suggested that a pre-print version of 'Four Stars of Destiny' was already in circulation. These online posts prompted officers to examine whether an unpublished draft of General MM Naravane's book had leaked.

Investigators then discovered a PDF of a type-set manuscript with the same title, apparently prepared by Penguin Random House India Pvt. Limited, on some websites. Certain online retail platforms also displayed what looked like the final book cover, presenting it as if the title was already available to buy.
