Delhi Minor Rape Case: CCTV Footage Shows Accused Officer, Wife Trying To Flee Cops
The arrested Delhi official, Premoday Khakha, who stands accused of raping his friend's teenage daughter, along with his co-accused wife, made an attempt to escape from their residence. However, their bid for escape was foiled as captured by CCTV footage. According to Police, around 9:35 am, Khakha and Seema Rani left home in a car, as indicated by surveillance camera recordings positioned near their residence.
The visual evidence depicts the couple's vehicle moving through the lanes in the vicinity, a short time prior to their subsequent arrest.

Reports further said that the Deputy Director of Delhi Women and Child Development, who is currently under suspension, had been in communication with a lawyer, outlining intentions to pursue anticipatory bail through legal channels. However, this plan was abruptly halted as he was apprehended near his residence in Burari, situated in northern Delhi. Khakha has been accused of repeatedly raping the class 12 girl between 2020 and 2021.
According to reports, the victim had met the accused at a church. Following her father's passing in 2020, she got into depression. The passing of her father in 2020 plunged her into a state of depression. Seizing upon an existing acquaintance, the accused took advantage of the situation, coaxing her to his residence under the guise of providing support.
Recounting her harrowing experience to the authorities, the victim detailed the period spanning from October 2020 to February 2021, during which she found herself under the care of her supposed "guardian" in Burari. Tragically, this period was marred by multiple instances of rape.
Khakha now faces grave charges of child abuse as stipulated by the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children From Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Allegedly, he committed these offenses against his friend's daughter when she was just 14 years old, persisting for several months. The gravity of the situation is exacerbated by the additional accusation that, upon her pregnancy, his wife Seema purportedly administered abortion pills in an attempt to terminate the pregnancy.
Meanwhile, the minor victim is currently receiving crucial counseling within the confines of a Delhi hospital, as efforts are made to help her cope with the aftermath of this appalling ordeal.
Reacting to the public outcry, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wasted no time, demonstrating a decisive stance by ordering the immediate suspension of the accused Delhi official.
