Delhi–Jewar airport RRTS plan targets 21-minute journey to Noida International Airport
Uttar Pradesh has approved the DPR for a Regional Rapid Transit System linking Delhi with Noida International Airport at Jewar and has sent it to the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. The plan also allows integration with the proposed Delhi–Varanasi high-speed rail line via an airport station, aiming for a 21-minute Delhi connection.
Travel time between Delhi and the upcoming Noida International Airport may drop to about 21 minutes. The change is linked to a proposed high-speed rail plan, Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta said on Thursday. The plan focuses on faster links to the Jewar airport area and wider transport access across the Yamuna Expressway region.

Delhi Jewar airport RRTS connectivity plan
Officials told the meeting that the DPR also includes links for future rail corridors. The plan allows the proposed Delhi-Varanasi high-speed rail corridor to connect to the airport terminal. It includes a dedicated station at the terminal. Officials said this could support Delhi connectivity in around 21 minutes later.
Gupta said the Yamuna Expressway belt is expected to become a major cargo hub. Gupta linked this to the planned inauguration of the Jewar airport. Yamuna Expressway connectivity and linked expressways
As per the statement, the Yamuna Expressway is being connected with other major expressways. These include Agra-Lucknow, Bundelkhand, Purvanchal, Delhi-Mumbai and Ganga expressways. The added links make the area important for travel and freight. The statement said the region gains strategic value due to this connectivity network.
Gupta instructed officials to speed up online payment of land acquisition compensation to farmers. Gupta also asked for a system to reduce visits for no-objection certificates tied to maps and plots. Gupta said plot details should be available live online. Gupta also told the authority to provide artificial intelligence training for staff.
