Delhi is yet to learn! 30-year old from Manipur beaten to death

, July 21: 30-year old Shaloni, who was a

executive, was beaten to death close to his home in Kotla Mubarakpur. A group of 5-6 assailants drove up in a white car late last night and had an altercation with him at a daily-need store.

The police received a call about the quarrel at around 2:30 am, following which they found him beaten up on arrival. Shaloni was taken to the trauma care centre of AIIMS, but was declared brought dead.

A case of murder has been registered and the suspects have been identified. Akin to the Nido Tania tragedy, this is the second case that has come to public view. Nido Tania was from Arunachal Pradesh and was beaten to death on grounds of his origin. Political parties and leaders condemned the incident and also took a pledge to address the problems that people from the North East have on racial grounds.
