Delhi Elections 2025: BJP's Second Poll Manifesto Puts Jobs And Healthcare First
The BJP is gearing up to unveil its second poll manifesto for the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections on Tuesday. Titled Resolution 2.0, the manifesto is expected to focus on the youth, with special emphasis on employment and education. The release will take place at the party's state office.
Last week, the BJP launched its first manifesto, promising a monthly allowance of ₹2,500 to every woman in Delhi under the Mahila Samridhi Yojana. The party also pledged to retain all existing welfare schemes currently operational in the national capital.

Ayushman Bharat for Delhi
Highlighting its commitment to healthcare, the BJP has promised to implement the central government's flagship Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi. This would provide health insurance coverage of ₹5 lakh to 51 lakh people. BJP National President JP Nadda stated that this initiative would be rolled out in the first Cabinet meeting if the party forms the government.
"After forming the government in Delhi, we will implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme for 51 lakh people who were deprived of its benefits under AAP. Additionally, we will provide an extra ₹5 lakh health cover," Nadda assured.
Nadda described the BJP's manifesto, or Sankalp Patra, as the "foundation for a developed Delhi." He emphasized that it was created based on extensive public feedback collected through over 12,000 meetings and 41 mobile LED vans. According to him, the party received approximately 1.8 lakh suggestions from Delhiites, reflecting their aspirations for the city.
The Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled to take place in a single phase on February 5, with results to be declared on February 8. The contest is expected to be a three-way battle between the ruling AAP, BJP, and Congress.
While Congress, which ruled Delhi for 15 consecutive years, has struggled in the last two assembly elections and failed to secure a single seat, AAP remains the dominant force, having won 62 out of 70 seats in 2020. The BJP, which managed only eight seats in the last election, is hopeful of turning the tide with its new promises and vision for the city.
