Arvind Kejriwal Likely To Be Arrested By CBI Before Bail Hearing In SC
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is facing increased legal challenges as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) plans to produce him before a trial court on Wednesday.
This appearance could lead to his formal arrest by the CBI. Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is set to hear Kejriwal's plea challenging a Delhi High Court order that stayed the bail granted to him by a lower court.

The sequence of events began on Monday when the CBI questioned Kejriwal in Tihar Jail regarding the liquor policy case and recorded his statement. On Tuesday, the CBI sought a production warrant for Kejriwal from a special court, which was subsequently issued.
Kejriwal, already in judicial custody due to an Enforcement Directorate case, will be produced before the trial court at 10 am on Wednesday, likely before the Supreme Court hearing.
Should the CBI arrest Kejriwal and secure his custody, he will remain in Tihar Jail regardless of the Supreme Court's decision on the Delhi High Court's stay on his bail.
AAP Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, "At a time when there is a cent per cent possibility that Arvind Kejriwal will get bail from the Supreme Court, sources have informed me that the Centre is conspiring to register a fake CBI case against the Delhi CM and get him arrested by the CBI. The entire nation can see this and is standing in solidarity with Arvind Kejriwal."
