Delhi: Accident victim cries for help on road for 12 hours, people steal phone

In a shocking incident, an accident victim remained unattended for more than 12 hours after he was hit by an unidentified car in Delhi's Civil Lines area on Tuesday. This didn't even end here, the city showed the uglier side, the onlookers even stole the man's phone and his bag of clothes and the only Rs 12 he had in his pocket.

However, the 35-year-old Narendra survived the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at Safdarjung Hospital. The man suffered serious injuries on his neck, legs and spinal cord.

The incident happened when Narendra who hails from Uttar Pradesh's Bijnor had arrived from Jaipur and was waiting for a bus near Kashmere Gate when an overspeeding car hit him. The victim works as a driver. The victim was rescued after a police control room van arrived on the spot after an onlooker finally made a call to the PCR on Wednesday morning.
