Delhi: 25 people fall ill after eating momos, taken to hospital

More than 25 people fall ill and two children are critical after consuming momos in Delhi's Rajpur Khurd village. The children have been admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

It is learnt that these children had momos on last Friday. After that their health started deteriorating because of which they were admitted to hospital. The family of the children has lodged a case against the owner of the shop in Mehrauli Police station. Further investigation is underway.

Last month, a case of dog meat mixed in chicken momos were reported which was being sold in Delhi's market. This was disclosed during the investigation of food quality in many shops in Kent area, for which 20 shops were closed.

The chief executive officer of Delhi Cantt Board had received a complaint that 70 vending zones of the area were selling dogs by adding dog meat to chicken momos. After which the Enforcement Wing was ordered to check the quality of the momos and they found out that dog meat was present in chicken momos. An online petietion were also launched seeking accountability for the missing dogs, who are ending up on plates.
