Delhi: 17-year-old kills two-month-old son over wife’s extra marital affair

In yet another shocking incident, Delhi Police arrested a teenager murdered his two-month-old son in outer Delhi's Mangolpuri on Saturday evening after he suspected that the child was born out of her wife's illicit affair.

The incident came to light on Saturday, when a two-month-old boy was brought to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital by his mother. He succumbed to his injuries during treatment.

The doctors then alerted the police after they found signs of strangulation on the baby's neck.

The teenagers had married in a temple around a year ago and were staying in a rented accommodation in Mangolpuri.

The girl's parents were against the relationship at first but accepted it after the baby was born. Since the 17-year-old father was addicted to drugs, the girl used to support the family with her job as a salesperson.

The boy had been disowned by his family and fled home after he was apprehended twice for stealing phones.

On Saturday evening, the boy returned home drunk and started beating the child with a shoe when the baby started crying. Once the baby fell unconscious, he strangled him and left.

The woman informed police about the incident. Following the complaint, a case was registered against her husband under Indian Penal Code Section 302 at Mangolpuri police station. The accused was apprehended from his hideout following a raid.
