Delhi: 17-year-old dies on spot after being hit by speeding Mercedes
The accident took place in the wee hours on Monday after the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the scooter.
New Delhi, March 6: A 17-year-old was killed in west Delhi's Paschim Vihar after he was hit by a speeding Mercedes. The victim, identified as Atul Arora, was on his way back home when the speeding vehicle hit him.
The victm died on the spot. The driver escaped immediately after the accident took place. Police officials said that the accident took place in the wee hours on Monday after the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the scooter.
Police officials say that they are on the lookout for the driver. The vehicle has been identified with the help of CCTV footage. A case of negligence has been registered. According to officials, the car was being driven at a speed 100 kmph and dragged the victim for about 50 metres.
This is the latest incident among several others that involve high-end cars in the NCR region.
