Deaths in Andhra extremely tragic: Rahul Gandhi
New Delhi, Sep 7: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Monday said the deaths in Andhra Pradesh due to lightning were "extremely tragic".
"Extremely tragic that so many lives were lost in freak lightning strikes across Andhra Pradesh. My condolences to the bereaved families," Rahul said in a tweet.
At least 20 people lost their lives due to lightning in different parts of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday as heavy rains lashed the state under the impact of a low pressure area over Bay of Bengal.
