Dadri lynching: ABVP comes up with a new theory; victim's son had Hindu affair
New Delhi, Oct 26: The RSS student's wing ABVP has come up with a new theory behind the Dadri lynching. They claim that the incident happened because one of the victim's son had an affair with a Hindu girl. According to a report by the Indian Express, the wing is likely to present this theory at the annual state-level convention to be held in Sitapur between November 1 and 3.
The wing has decided to discuss the theory while discussing the 'appeasement politics' on the first day of the convention. Justifying the stance of the group, ABVP Awadh region organisation secretary Satya Bhan said,"it has appeared in a section of the media in western UP that one of Akhlaq's sons had an affair with a local Hindu girl and his family was attacked on the same dispute.
But, leaders of different political parties diverted the issue towards another reason, of beef consumption, for appeasement of minorities for political gains. UP minister Azam Khan's move to write to the UN, also maligned the image of India. It will be clarified at the convention."
Interestingly, Bhan is not sure which of Aklaq's son is having the affair. Nevertheless, he claims that the compensation to the family owed to the fact that they were minorities.
Mohammad Akhlaq was dragged out of the house and lynched by a mobthis month on allegations that the family was storing beef. His son Danish was also assaulted and received serious injuries and is now in a hospital.
