Curb stray dogs menace or else will let them into assembly: Puducherry MLA

CC
Chennai, August 14: Expressing concern over the menace of stray dogs on streets and government's inaction, Anbalagan, an AIADMK MLA from Puducherry on Wednesday threatened the state assembly that he will catch the dogs and will let them stray into the assembly.

According to a report published in The Hindu, Anbalagan said the "public has been facing numerous difficulties due to this menace as 100 odd dogs roam on roads and pose a threat to two wheeler riders."

He was quoted as saying, "There are no vaccinations available for dog bites in Government Hospital. It is anguishing to see that Government has been lethargic on issues relating to lives of people and when children are succumbing to rabies."

Anbalagan urged the government to take strong action and suggested that the organisations which are supportive of dogs should rear such dogs in their household without causing nuisance to others.
