CPI(M) and RSS workers hacked to death in Kannur
Kannur, July 12: A CP(I)M and a BJP worker were brutally hacked to death in two separate incidents in Kannur on Monday night. 36-year old C.V. Dhanaraj, who is a CP(I)M worker was hacked to death by an unidentified gang at his home in Kunnaru village, near Payyannur at 10 pm. He was attacked before his family and died on the way to hospital.
In another incident, an RSS worker, also an auto driver- CK Ramachandran was stabbed to death by another gang at his home in Annur village. The assailants hurled crude bombs before stabbing Ramachandran.
Blaming RSS for the stabbing incident, CPIM Kannur District Secretary M.V. Jayarajan said, "RSS has engineered political violence as part of conspiracy. The RSS leaders are instigating the cadres for violence and supporting their acts. They have publicly announced few names in their hit list last week." The area is highly charged dur to the tension between the CP(I)M and the RSS cadres.
