A courtesy call or an alliance? Jaya to meet PM; may provide issue-based support to BJP in RS

New Delhi, May 31: Jayalalitha's decision to meet Prime Minister

next week has raised many questions. While some are speculating that it may just be a courtesy call to thank him for the hefty development package for the state, there are others who believe that she may finally join the NDA.

However, AIADMK supporters discounted the latter saying that the party may provide issue-based support to the NDA-led government.

Nevertheless, it is true that the support has been extended in return for the package assigned for the state.Sources say that Union Ministers Arun Jaitley and Ravi Shankar Prasad have been in touch with Jayalalithaa.

And that as of now there are no plans of joining the NDA. Sources have also stated that an offer has been by the BJP to a AIADMK.
