Cooking LPG cylinder gets costlier by Rs 50, commercial by Rs 350
The price of domestic LPG cylinder price has been raised by Rs 50 per cylinder with effect from March 1.
Petroleum and oil marketing companies have hiked the rates of commercial and domestic liquid petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders.
While the price of the commercial LPG has been raised y Rs 350.50 per unit, the rate of domestic LPG has gone up by Rs 50. Now, a single commercial LPG is costs Rs 2,119.50 per unit and LPG cylinders will be Rs 1,103 per unit, which earlier cost Rs 1057 in New Delhi.

This is the second hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices this year and the second biggest hike since 2014. Earlier, on January 1, commercial cylinder prices were increased by Rs 25 per unit. The new rates are coming to effect from today.

The price of the cooking and commercial gases are decided by the state-run-oil companies on a monthly basis. The exchange rate of the rupee versus the dollar and the worldwide benchmark rate are the two main factors that decide the price in India.
Meanwhile, the opposition parties have slammed the price. Kerala Finance Minister KN Balagopal said that it was a "serious attack on the common people."
"This is a serious attack on the common people. No subsidy is going into people's account. They (BJP) know that polls are over so there is no threat for the time being. They will announce some relief just before elections," ANI quoted KN Balagopal in a tweet.
