Congress 'Shahi Parivaar' Insulted President Murmu: PM Modi Condemns Soni Gandhi's Remark
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday criticised Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for her recent statement about President Droupadi Murmu. Speaking at a rally in Dwarka, PM Modi highlighted the Congress's "shaahi parivaar" arrogance. He accused them of disrespecting President Murmu, who hails from a tribal background, ahead of the Delhi assembly elections.
PM Modi expressed his disapproval of the Congress leadership's attitude. He noted that President Murmu, whose native language is Odia, delivered an inspiring speech in Parliament. However, he claimed that Congress's "royal family" insulted her by calling her speech boring and referring to her as a "poor thing."

Political Tensions Rise Over Remarks
The Prime Minister emphasised that such remarks are an affront to the country's 10 crore tribal citizens and every impoverished individual. He accused Congress of defaming India abroad and warned Delhi residents to be vigilant. According to him, fear of electoral defeat has led two arrogant leaders to unite.
A political controversy erupted during the Budget Session when Sonia Gandhi commented on President Murmu's speech. She allegedly remarked that the President was "getting very tired" and referred to her as a "poor thing." Rahul Gandhi also described the address as 'boring.'
PM Modi Criticises AAP in Dwarka Rally
In his address before the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, PM Modi targeted both Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress. He accused AAP of transforming Delhi into a "political ATM" for funding its ambitions in other states. The Prime Minister urged voters to liberate Delhi from AAP's governance.
Sonia Gandhi was reportedly heard in a video circulating on social media saying, "The President was getting very tired by the end... she could hardly speak, poor thing." This statement added fuel to the ongoing political debate.
PM Modi alleged that AAP has misappropriated funds from Delhiites for political expansion elsewhere. He called it an "AAP disaster," claiming they have drained money from citizens' pockets for their own benefit.
