Congress, Pakistan Have Same Agenda: Amit Shah On Pak Minister's Claims On Restoration Of Art 370

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has slammed the Congress-NC Alliance over Pakistan Defence Minister's comments on the restoration of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

In a post on X, Shah said, "Pakistan's Defence Minister's statement about Congress and JKNC's support on Article 370 and 35A has once again exposed Congress. This statement has once again made it clear that Congress and Pakistan have the same intentions and agenda. "

Amit Shah claimed that the Congress had demanded proof of air strikes and surgical strikes and accused Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi of supporting "every anti-India force" for years.

He added, "Be it asking for proof of air strikes and surgical strikes or saying objectionable things about the Indian Army, the tune of Rahul Gandhi's Congress Party and Pakistan has always been the same and Congress has always been hand in glove with the anti-national forces. But, Congress Party and Pakistan forget that there is Modi Government at the centre, hence, neither Article 370 nor terrorism is going to come back in Kashmir."

What Pakistan Minister said?

Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, in an interview, claimed that his country is on the "same page" as the Congress and National Conference on the issue of Article 370 and 35A.
"Pakistan and National Conference-Congress alliance are on the same page in Jammu and Kashmir to restore Article 370 and 35A," Times Now quoted Khawaja Asif as saying in talk show 'Capital Talk'.

"The National Congress and Congress have said that they will restore Article 370 and 35A if they come to power. Is it possible?" Hamid Mir asked.

"Yes, quite possible. Congress and the National Conference have an important presence in the Valley. They have made it an election issue. The restoration of Article 370 and 35A will work as balm in the injury that Kashmiris have endured over they years," he added.

The assembly polls are being held for the first time since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019.

The polling for the first phase was held across 3,276 Polling Stations in the seven districts and 24 special polling stations were held on Wednesday.
