On Friday, he chaired separate meetings with coordinators from different regions, discussing strategies and preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Regional Meetings and Discussions

The first meeting was held with coordinators from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Delhi, Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu. Kharge urged them to strengthen their grassroots connections and effectively communicate the party's message to the electorate. He highlighted the importance of countering the "din of diversion" with a steadfast determination for democracy and expressed confidence in the victory of "Nyay Yodhas" in the 2024 elections.

In a subsequent meeting, Kharge engaged with coordinators from Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Jammu-Kashmir, and Ladakh. He emphasized the need to connect with the people and expose the realities of the BJP government. The AICC coordinators from Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim also participated in a separate meeting, where they discussed preparations and reviewed the party's election strategies.

Focus on Strengthening Democracy

Kharge stressed the significance of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in providing a new direction to the country, strengthening the voice of the people, and ensuring justice for all. He expressed determination to defeat the arrogance of the "dictatorial government" and uphold the rights of 140 crore countrymen.

Attendance and Participation

The meetings, held at the party headquarters in New Delhi, were attended by parliamentary coordinators, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, in-charges of various states, and Mukul Wasnik, the convener of the AICC seat-sharing committee. These deliberations are part of the Congress leadership's ongoing efforts to engage with party leaders from every state ahead of the crucial elections scheduled for April-May.

Building a United Front

The Congress has already decided to join the INDIA bloc of 28 opposition parties, forming a united front against the BJP in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The party aims to defeat the BJP and bring about a positive change in the country's political landscape.
