Congress Likely To Announce Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi's Names For Amethi, Raebareli Seats Today
The battle of Lok Sabha is intensifying day by day. Every political front is trying its best to woo the voters and use every tactic that may put them at the top. But no one is opening their cards or disclosing the next move as heavyweight leaders want to keep the surprise element alive for the opponent. Now when the second round of polling is done and the election is nearly over in southern states, Congress is likely to shift its focus toward the north. According to the reports, the grand old party has called the Congress Election Committee (CEC)'s meeting today in New Delhi, where candidates for Uttar Pradesh's hot seats, Amethi and Raebareli, are likely to be finalized.
A Congress official told media that the Congress' central election committee (CEC) chaired by party chief Mallikarjun Kharge will meet on Saturday evening to finalize names for the remaining seats for the upcoming phases of Lok Sabha elections 2024.

If the reports doing round the internet are to be believed then Congress may make the big announcement of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's names and they may file their nominations on May 1 and May 2 from Amethi and Raebareli Lok Sabha seats, respectively.
Both the big leaders are also expected to take out massive roadshows before filing their nominations. It was also reported that Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi may visit Ayodhya's Ram Temple to seek the blessings of lord Ram.
If their names would be announced today, then Rahul Gandhi would lock horns with BJP's Smriti Irani, who defeated him in 2019 with a margin of around 50,000 votes. However, Congress MP would be eyeing to regain the constituency which was once known as party's bastion.
On the other side, reports said that the BJP has planned to field Varun Gandhi in the Raebareli seat against Priyanka Gandhi to poise the contest.
