Vetaran Congress leader and former union minister LP Shahi passes away
Senior Congress leader and former union minister Laliteshwar Prasad Shahi passed away at Delhi's All India Institutes of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Saturday morning. He was 98-years-old.
Shahi, who was admitted to AIIMS on June 7, breathed has last at 3.20 am. His last rites would be held in Patna tomorrow.

Bihar Congress's acting president Kaukab Quadri has expressed grief over Shahi's demise and termed it as a great loss to Bihar politics
Shahi was a veteran Congress leader from Bihar. He was elected as a Member of the Legislative Assembly in 1980, defeating Jai Narain Prasad Nishad of the Janata Party. In 1984, he became Member of Parliament from Muzaffarpur. He was also the Education and Culture minister.
