Congress leader Kamal Nath meets Dhirendra Shastri at Bageshwar Dham
Shastri is the Peethadhishwar of the Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, a famous religious pilgrimage site in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
Bhopal, Feb 13: Madhya Pradesh Congress chief Kamal Nath on Monday met the controversial self-styled godman Dhirendra Shastri at Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur district.
Reportedly, Kamal Nath's meeting with Shastri lasted for close to two hours.

Shastri, popularly called Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, has considerable followers in Madhya Pradesh as well as other parts of the country.
"I have built a Hanuman temple of over a height of 101 feet in Chhindwara. Today, I came here to worship Lord Hanuman that the future of Madhya Pradesh would be safe. The challenges that are in Madhya Pradesh today, let us face all these challenges together. Maharaj ji gives blessings to everyone and he gives blessings to me as well," kamal Nath was quoted saying by ANI.
When asked about Dhirendra Shastri's statements on making India a Hindu nation, he said, "India runs according to its constitution. Babasaheb Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar made the constitution. That is the Constitution of India.
A 'Mahayagya' is being organised at Bageshwar Dham regarding the making of Hindu nation from February 13 to February 18 here. According to reports, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also visit Bageshwar Dham on February 18.
Shastri is the Peethadhishwar of the Bageshwar Dham Sarkar, a famous religious pilgrimage site in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
He made headlines when a person named Shyam Manav of All India Andhashraddha Nirmulan Samiti of Nagpur challenged him in his Divya Darbar and questioned his spiritual powers, Manav also allege Shastri of promoting blind faith.
When the controversy erupted in Media, Shastri invited Manav to his Divya Darbar and said,"I am just a servant at the feet of Bageshwar Balaji. I do as he inspires me".
Many prominent Hindu Religious leaders like Swami Ramdev, Sadguru Jaggi Vasudev, Rambhadracharya, Sadhvi Prachi, Pragya Thakur and Politician Giriraj Singh came in his support.
He is known to revert around 300 Hindus turned Christian in Chhattisgarh.
