Congress Delhi Chief Explains BLA-2 Training Candidate Selection
In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the Congress party has initiated a rigorous training program for Booth Level Agents (BLA-2) across Delhi. Devender Yadav, the interim chief president of Delhi Congress, announced this development during the inauguration of a BLA-2 training camp in the Badli assembly segment. The program aims to equip 423 BLA-2 candidates with essential skills and knowledge to effectively communicate the party's message and manifesto to the electorate.

The training sessions, scheduled to span over five days, will cover 10 assembly segments daily. These sessions are designed to familiarize the candidates with the key messages of Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi, alongside promoting the party's manifesto which promises justice and 25 guarantees aimed at societal betterment. Each participant has been provided with a kit containing vital publicity materials, including voter lists, guarantee cards, and copies of the manifesto, to aid in their outreach efforts.
A significant aspect of this campaign strategy involves direct engagement with first-time voters aged 18. The party aims to secure their support by highlighting its commitments and the benefits outlined in its manifesto. Special attention is being given to attracting women and elderly voters by informing them about specific guarantees such as 50% reservation for women and other empowerment initiatives.
To ensure the effectiveness of this grassroots-level campaign, the Congress has established a monitoring system to assess the performance of booth-level teams. These teams are tasked with not only spreading the party's message but also ensuring that the promises made are understood by various demographic groups within their respective areas.
Yadav emphasized that the ultimate goal is to strengthen the Congress's foothold at the booth level, thereby ensuring victory for its candidates as well as those from the INDIA bloc in Delhi's seven Lok Sabha seats. Under a seat-sharing arrangement within the INDIA bloc, Congress is contesting from three seats while AAP takes on four. The capital's electorate will cast their votes in this crucial sixth phase on May 25.
This initiative underscores the Congress party's commitment to a comprehensive and inclusive electoral strategy, aiming for a significant impact in the forthcoming elections through detailed planning and community engagement.
