Congress Cries Foul Over Alleged Conspiracy in Parliament Security Breach Case

The Congress party has raised concerns about a potential conspiracy in the Parliament security breach case, alleging that the government is pressuring those arrested to falsely implicate opposition leaders.

The Congress party in India has raised serious allegations against the government, claiming that a conspiracy is underway to pressure individuals arrested in the Parliament security breach case to implicate opposition leaders. This startling revelation came to light after five of the six arrested individuals informed a court in New Delhi that they were allegedly subjected to torture by the Delhi Police to acknowledge their association with opposition parties.

Uncovering the Truth: Congress Exposes Alleged Conspiracy in Parliament Security Breach Case

Jairam Ramesh's Accusations

Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh took to social media platform Twitter to express his strong disapproval of the government's actions. In a Hindi post, he vehemently criticized the government's approach, labeling it as the modus operandi of "Ahankaracharya" (a term used to describe someone who is arrogant and self-important). Ramesh asserted that the Modi government has a history of misusing investigative agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED), Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and Income Tax (IT) department to target opposition leaders and imprison them.

Alleged Inaction and Conspiracy

Ramesh highlighted the alleged inaction against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP who granted passes to the individuals who breached Parliament security. He further pointed out that 146 opposition MPs who raised concerns about security lapses were suspended. Ramesh expressed grave concern over the alleged conspiracy to pressure the arrested individuals into naming opposition leaders, suggesting that this is being done to fabricate false cases and hold them accountable for the security breaches.

Congress's Continued Struggle

Ramesh emphasized the Congress party's unwavering commitment to fighting against the "anyay kaal" (era of injustice) perpetuated by the Modi government. He urged citizens to join the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, led by Rahul Gandhi, as a means of raising their voices against the perceived injustices of the current government.

Accusations of Torture and Coercion

The five accused individuals, identified as Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Lalit Jha, Amol Shinde, and Mahesh Kumawat, submitted a joint petition to the court, detailing their experiences of alleged torture and coercion. They claimed that they were forced to sign approximately 70 blank papers and subjected to electric shocks to compel them to confess to crimes under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Additionally, two of the accused were allegedly forced to write about their association with a political party and a leader of an opposition political party.

The allegations made by the Congress party and the accused individuals in the Parliament security breach case have raised serious concerns about the integrity of the investigation and the potential misuse of power by law enforcement agencies. The outcome of this case will undoubtedly have significant implications for the political landscape of India and the broader issue of accountability and transparency in governance.
